The process of pointing is very important for the structural stability of the building. The process of pointing consists of filling the brick joints with mortar. There are two best ways to prevent these issues. The first one is to use the best quality of bricks and the second one is using the best quality of cement during the pointing process. Both these are especially important to maintain the stability of the building and having the pointing process working for a longer period. It is of course obvious that a recent building will require less work while an older building will require more work.

As the name suggests, Pebble dash is a mixture of various materials including pebbles, lime, sand, gravel and shells. For this reason, it is a very harsh material and is only used on the exterior of the walls and gets accumulated with various dust particles over the years. Our labourers are experienced over many years working with these materials and concoctions to achieve the desired results. We have workers who use manual tools to remove the pebble dash all the while being very careful to not ruin the walls or bricks underneath.

However, due to human error if at any point the bricks are eroded, we make sure to restore them back to their original state or at least a good condition so the structural stability of the building is maintained. The stability of the building can be further achieved by the process of pointing.

The paint removal process is a little tricky. For paint that is not older, we only try to work with water. The pressure of the water can help mellow down the dust particles and make it come out early. However, if the paint is not coming off with the water, we use harsh chemicals such as phosphates to help remove it.

The pressure of the water along with the use of such harsh chemicals cause the bricks of the building to erode. It is thus important for the bricks to be restored back to their original condition or become as good as new so that the stability of the building is not compromised. This is done through the process of pointing.
